At Beyond Entertainment our mission is to create lifelong memories for our Clients. Our Leadership
HAKIM – In addition to being a Founder and CEO of Beyond Entertainment, Hakim is an experienced MC and dancer. Before founding Beyond, Hakim worked with some of Long Island’s top entertainment companies – and amassed over 15 years of experience. During those years, Hakim produced Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Sweet-Sixteens, Weddings, corporate events, and more.
Before he ever stepped onto the dance floor, Hakim was born in a small country in the Caribbean. Hakim started dancing at the age of 5 when his father introduced him to music and dance techniques from different cultures. As a high school student, Hakim assisted his teachers with choreography, school fairs, fundraising events, and even participated in dance competitions. In many ways, Hakim was born to rock a party!
MICHAEL – As Executive Vice President of Beyond Entertainment, Michael oversees the operational side of the business, including Client Relations, Vendor Partnerships, and more. Born and raised in Smithtown, New York, Michael took to writing and poetry at a young age while also learning how to play piano, clarinet, and the xylophone. Eventually, Michael’s passion for music and writing collided in the form of freestyle rap music, which remains one of his greatest passions today.
Michael spent over 15 years in the Event Industry prior to joining up with Hakim at Beyond. He has worked virtually every angle of an event, starting out as a humble roadie before elevating to more strategic positions. Michael enjoys people – and fancies a good conversation and a good laugh over most other things. As a Founder, Michael balances the energy/passion of Hakim and the precision/execution of Chris with his own skillsets.
Beyond Founders: Chris, Hakim, Mike
CHRIS –Chris started DJing family parties at age 11, and purchased his first professional equipment at 13. When Chris turned 18, he began working for the higher end event companies on Long Island where he was afforded the opportunity to perfect his craft while meeting a lot of amazing people. It was during this formative time period that Chris and Hakim’s paths crossed. The two instantly hit it off and had great chemistry. It was only a natural progression for the two to go into business with Beyond.
When Chris works a party, his ultimate goal is to get people dancing and ensure everyone just has fun. He feels the vibe of the crowd and knows exactly what to play for every age. Chris’s style is rooted in dance music culture - particularly house music. That said, his favorite decade of music is actually disco! When not DJing, Chris serves as Beyond Entertainment’s Director of Operations, ensuring all aspects leading up to an event are properly executed. With Chris’s work experience as an electrician, he is the Chief Designer of many of Beyond’s custom fabricated builds.
